How to fix the missing Dropbox context menu on macOS.
Dropbox is great but one thing that’s been bugging us a lot is that sometimes (a lot of times actually) the context menu goes missing. You’re in a rush, need to share a file with the team and boom, context menu is nowhere to be seen. There’s a lot of advice for this online suggesting restarting Dropbox, restarting your computer or reinstalling Dropbox. There’s even a support article on how to do an advanced reinstall on Dropbox which might be worth a shot.
Fixing it with one click – Restart Finder
We’ve tried all of these but somehow eventually the issue always comes back. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to perform the quickest way to fix the issue. All you need to do is to relaunch Finder and your context menu will instantly be back. The annoying part is that you might run into the same issue later down the road, but since this fix requires only one click and a couple of seconds it’s not too big of an issue to perform it regularly every time you have issues.
Have you experienced this issue? What’s your way to work around it? Let us know if you have any additional ways to get rid of this annoying bug.
