How to change your Apple App Store country

If you move to another country or you’re trying to download an app that’s not available in your country, you might have to switch your App Store account from one country to another. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to change the country setting in the App Store.

Our favorite setup:

Changing your App Store country on iOS

  • Open the App Store
  • Tap your profile picture on the top right corner
  • From the menu that opens, tap your profile picture again on the left side of your screen
  • Enter your password if prompted
  • Tap “Country/Region” to change your country

To change your country, you’ll need to accept the Terms and Conditions for that specific country. You’ll also need a valid payment method with a billing address in the country you’re changing your location to. With some mobile carriers, you can can skip the payment method and use your phone number as a verification method, but again, you’ll need to have a number from a carrier in the country you’re changing your location to.

Changing your App Store country on a Mac
